Chief was not just a Master’s horse; Kim Cutler hunted the hounds off him.
Thank you, Kim, for this lovely boy!!
Today is a very exciting day for Chasing a Fox, my new pony arrived. When I woke up this morning, I felt like a little kid. I knew Chief was on his way from Aiken, and he would be arriving to me before noon. I had butterfly’s in my stomach as I thought about how much fun I was going to have with him. I know there are a lot of ways to ship horses, but we are HUGE fans of Fairway Horse Transport. Not only are they a first class equine shipping company but if Mark Choper has room on his fabulous air ride rigs, he brings rescue dogs up north to the Humane Society free of charge. Here’s a link to their site-http://bit.ly/23zGXKY
So now I have to get ready to ride again. I’m planning to hop on Tuesday; the weather is going to be perfect! It’s funny; I thought I would get a pony cause it wouldn’t be so far to fall. I measured Cheif, and he is all of 17hands. Wow, but he is so kind and wonderful. I have hunted him in the past, and he never felt big under me, but when I stand next to him, my head is shorter than his back never mind his withers and his head.
Cheif is even chill in a parade!
We are going to take it really slow. My back is as healed as it’s ever going to be, but my mind is going to take a little longer…..I’m going to try to take my on advice and “Kick on”. I’ll keep you all posted on how things go.

Good Luck! Big Chief very definitely seems the best fellow to help you get back to feeling comfortable in the saddle. May you have many more happy hours with your new buddy!
