Chasing a Fox in a Little Black Dress is a lifestyle guide for foxhunters, foxhunting fans, equestrians and, well, anyone else who wants to follow along! This Blog is the spot where you can look inside the “Chasing a Fox” mind and all the things that we love.
Our number one focus is about what is “correct” in the hunt field. As time goes by, traditions and rules are being forgotten. You can contact us anytime and ask us what to wear or what the rules are….(there are many)! We’ll steer you in the right direction whether you are aside or astride and we’ll have you be the one that everyone is looking at in the field, for all the right reasons. Remember there are NO stupid questions!
The Style Gurus in the Fox Den have hunted, shopped, hunted some more, fallen off, gotten back on, made it through Hunt Ball after Hunt Ball, dinners, teas, and ditches. The sport of foxhunting is not for the faint of heart, but it is a whole lotta fun whether you are in the saddle galloping across the countryside or following along with friends on foot.
If you’re a fan of horses and fashion, join us here where we will be posting our recommendations for everything from what to wear to a Hunt Tea to finding just the right breastplate for your, ahem, big-boned field hunter.
We are happy to help YOU get properly outfitted for the hunt field, the hunt ball, cocktail parties, teas, even polo events. Since we riders are busy mucking stalls, checking bits, picking feet, and braiding manes, it’s hard to find the time to properly turn ourselves out. The gals behind Chasing a Fox are experts at putting the right clothes on the right people. Don’t worry about what to wear… we’ll do that for you!
Just remember to “Live the sporting life… like a lady”.
